After a moment of orienting herself, she stands up to check the desk. Is the screen on or otherwise interactable?]

The desk comes complete with a comfy, ergonomic gaming chair, which is already occupied by an adorable charcoal grey cat plushie. It's super soft, perfectly sized for hugging, and extremely squishable. Anyone who has had a sleepover with Korone may recognise it as Ringo, her favourite inanimate cuddle-buddy.

On the desk itself is a wireless keyboard and mouse; a desktop organiser with a variety of stationary … and a knife amongst the pens; a bowl of foil-wrapped chocolates, and a mug. The computer screen itself, mounted to the wall on an adjustable arm, is dark. You could probably turn it on with a tap!

On the shelves you can find scattered photographs, sketchbooks, fidget toys, and li'l tsumtsum-like plushies.

[Going to try to take Ringo off the seat so she can sit down instead. Was Korone-chan secretly a streamer???

Also going to try to boot up the computer, although she'll pick the knife out of the desk organizer while she's at it. Anything special about it?]

As you pick up Ringo, you're flooded with feelings of comfort, uncertainty, and longing.

You want a hug.

The knife, though, is just a knife!

And just as you go to boot the computer, this happens. The screen glitches glitches

and with a burst of sound like a static, electronic shriek

... the screen turns dark.

[....What the heck, cat plush. Definitely setting it aside after the weird feelings. Is the knife any specific type?

That's about all she'll be able to check before her vision goes and she needs to wait a second for it to hopefully? Restore itself???]

It's a simple pocket-knife.

Your vision comes back slowly, over the coure of a few minutes.

[...She's stealing the pocket knife and putting it in her own pocket. Just in case.

Can she get the computer to boot despite the power situation?]

You can see it try to boot up.

The screen flickers and flashes, like it's fighting for it.

But each and every time, it stumbles, falters, and falls back into darkness.

[Is there a computer tower she can check?]

There doesn't seem to be anything like that around here.

[Well that's weird. Some kind of soul logic, she supposes.

She'll investigate the other items on the desk one by one in case any of them are special: picking up and putting back a chocolate from the bowl, as well as the mug.]

Based on touch alone, the chocolates seem like normal, everyday chocolates!

The mug feels like a chalkboard. As in, literally, if you found some chalk you could probably doodle all over it. There's a few gulps-worth of hot chocolate inside. And underneath? There's a small, plain key.

[Oh, hello! Does the key look like any specific type? Like it would be used for a door, or a mailbox, or...]
